NCAO Funds account established.

Rather than having the community give money to a single member, it was recommended that we create an account. The appropriate paperwork has been filed to obtain a checking account without having to use a single person's name or social security number.

We have registered our current officers, Thumpmaster (Secretary) and Halo (Chairman), as the signature holders on the account. They are the only two that are authorized to release funds from the account. A few ground rules are in effect until the Team Leader Council creates guidelines for our finances.

* Currently, NCAO funds will only be disbursed to pay our current expenses, which are Server Space, Registered Domain Names, and Forum Software. No other expenditures are authorized to be automatically deducted.

* Currently the NCAO Fund is supplied by donations, there is no obligation to donate, but it is highly recommended for Recognized Teams to lead by example.

* Until the council creates a position(s) that is(are) solely responible for the NCAO fund, the current President and Secretary will share the task of maintaining the NCAO finances and are held accountable for their actions by the council.

* Recognized and Unaffiliated NCAO members are authorized to request financial report at any time. This request must be fulfilled within 48 hours.

* Recognized and Unaffiliated NCAO members may request funding through their council representative. The representative will bring the funding request to the council who will have 7 days to authorized or disapprove the request via a 2/3's vote.

These rules will be superceeded by the forthcoming guidelines setforth by the NCAO Council.

Did you know that you can maintain your team rosters in the player registry? You can add or remove members if you are in possession of the team passwords.

New members, you may want to remind your team leaders to add you to your team roster. You cannot add yourself.

Tank Rules finalized

The tank rules have passed through the Team Leader Council vote and are now available for viewing in the NCAO rules forum. Grab a tub of popcorn and your reading glasses, this is huge!

New feature for the homepage.

I've added a "Player focus" feature to the bottom of the homepage, just above the event schedule. Hope you guys like it!

Also, attention has been brought to the need for an FAQ for new players. We had made good progress on compiling one a while back, but it has since fallen by the wayside. If anyone has any suggestions for FAQ questions, please feel free to post them in the FAQ construction forum. Similarly, if anyone has the time, you are invited to help organize the questions, by making a post in each FAQ thread that condenses what has been posted there so far. This is meant to be a collaborative process, so let's get working on it!

Player Registry link update.

All of the utilities that were built have now been integrated into the main site using the current layout. Please refer to the registry link in the menu above. Please note that game registration has been moved to the Registry submenu!!!
